Software Engineer – Test Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jordan.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee automated testing frameworks utilizing TypeScript and Playwright.

• Create functional, integration, and API test cases to ensure thorough coverage.

• Develop and sustain backend services using Java or Kotlin.

• Debug, troubleshoot, and conduct root-cause analysis for any identified issues.

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Contribute to production code beyond just test development.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong professional experience in backend engineering.

• Solid background in test engineering and automation.

• Practical experience in developing backend services with Java or Kotlin.

• Advanced skills in TypeScript.

• Hands-on experience with Playwright, including the creation and maintenance of testing frameworks.

• Proficient in writing functional, integration, and API tests.

• Ability to produce clear, comprehensive, and maintainable test cases.

• Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.

• Understanding of IT security best practices as defined by ISO/SOC or similar standards.

• Capability to independently contribute to production code, not limited to test code.

• Availability for 80–90% overlap with EST hours.

• Preferred: candidates located in the APAC region.
