Software Engineer – Systems Integrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions utilizing JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Oracle, and the Esri Suite for GIS Web Applications.

• Integrate software components and troubleshoot any integration challenges.

• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, software bugs, and integration challenges.

• Optimize the performance, reliability, and efficiency of integrated components.

• Maintain and update the system architecture as needed.

• Refactor and enhance existing code to modernize software applications.

• Create system documentation, including system design documents, software architecture documentation, and diagrams.

• Support system upgrades, test new software versions, and ensure compatibility with the infrastructure.

• Gather requirements, conduct testing, and manage configuration and software releases.

• Support automated pipelines in the development process.

• Assist in the design and implementation of containerized applications.

• Recommend improvements to systems, architecture development, and modernization strategies.

• Collaborate with teams to achieve project milestones on schedule and within scope.

• Support technical and maintenance activities, including conducting security assessments and providing recommendations for resolving vulnerabilities.

• Perform root cause analysis and deliver timely solutions for technical issues impacting system performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Math, or Science.

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the field.

• Proven experience with JavaScript, Python, and Nginx.

• Experience working effectively in an Agile software development environment.

• Familiarity with GIT and peer/code review processes.

• Experience in integrating software applications, APIs, databases, and external systems.

• Knowledge of Docker containerization.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fulfill all contractual duties and responsibilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visio, and Outlook.

• Preferred: Experience with the Esri Suite.

• Preferred: Familiarity with microservices architecture and Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Experience with Amazon Web Services.

• Preferred: Experience with TestRail.

• Preferred: Experience writing unit tests in JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Preferred: Experience with React.

• Preferred: Experience with Oracle Databases.

• Preferred: Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence).

• Preferred: Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
