Software Engineer, Rust

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create and implement robust Rust services and libraries that support trading, payments, and cryptocurrency experiences.

• Develop reusable, testable, and efficient code for scalable, revenue-critical systems while ensuring safety and security.

• Collaborate on the architecture of large-scale distributed systems and convert product requirements into resilient, low-latency solutions.

• Build features and maintain Kraken Consumer applications to facilitate easy customer interaction with Kraken.

• Work closely with product teams to collect requirements and understand constraints.

• Assume full ownership of systems and libraries from start to finish.

• Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to the enhancement of the technical culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering.

• Expertise in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust.

• A security-first approach to system design.

• Ability to independently debug issues across the operating system, network, and application stack.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems.

• Familiarity with RPC protocols, Kafka, and event-driven systems.

• Capacity to collaborate with product teams to gather requirements and identify constraints.

• Capability to take complete ownership of systems and libraries from end to end.

• Ability to mentor other engineers and assist in shaping the technical culture.
