Software Engineer – React, NodeJS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and launch features in the React Native (Expo) mobile application, overseeing the entire process from concept to release in the App Store and Play Store.

• Design, create, and sustain Node/NestJS APIs that power both mobile and web applications.

• Write and optimize SQL queries for MySQL databases and assist in shaping the database schema.

• Integrate various third-party platforms, including Stripe, Shopify, and partner ticketing systems.

• Troubleshoot production issues across the entire stack, enhancing system reliability.

• Work collaboratively with a lean team to determine upcoming projects and features to be built.

• Take ownership of significant product areas, such as the React Native mobile app, Node services, and the data layer that connects ticketing, events, and guest systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional software engineering experience in building and deploying production applications.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript across both client-side and server-side development.

• Capability to utilize AI tools to enhance work efficiency without compromising on quality.

• Practical experience with React Native, including app store builds, releases, and over-the-air updates.

• Experience in constructing backend services with Node; familiarity with structured frameworks such as NestJS or Express is preferred.

• Strong SQL expertise and experience in designing and querying relational databases, specifically MySQL.

• Comfortable with integrating third-party APIs and payment systems.

• Experience in diagnosing production systems using logs, metrics, and error tracking tools.

• Excellent time-management skills.

• Must reside in Florida or Texas.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Stripe, Shopify, or other e-commerce and payment platforms.

• Bonus: Experience with cloud hosting and deployment solutions like Heroku or AWS, CI/CD, and infrastructure management.
