Software Engineer – React, NodeJS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and launch features for the React Native (Expo) mobile application, guiding them from initial concept to release on the App Store and Play Store.

• Design, create, and maintain Node/NestJS APIs that drive mobile and web user experiences.

• Write and enhance SQL for MySQL databases while contributing to schema development as products evolve.

• Integrate various third-party platforms, including Stripe, Shopify, and partner ticketing solutions.

• Troubleshoot production issues across the technology stack and enhance system reliability.

• Work collaboratively with a small team to determine future development priorities.

• Take ownership of significant product areas, which include the mobile application, Node services, and the data layer that connects ticketing, events, and guest systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience in building and deploying production applications.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript for both client-side and server-side development.

• Capable of utilizing AI tools to enhance work efficiency without compromising quality.

• Practical experience with React Native (Expo experience is an advantage), covering app store builds, releases, and OTA updates.

• Background in creating backend services using Node, preferably with a structured framework like NestJS or Express.

• Strong SQL capabilities and experience in designing and querying relational databases with MySQL.

• Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs and payment gateways.

• Proven experience in debugging production systems using logs, metrics, and error tracking tools.

• Excellent time-management abilities.

• Must reside in Florida or Texas.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Stripe, Shopify, or other commerce and payment platforms.

• Bonus: Experience with cloud hosting and deployment solutions such as Heroku or AWS, as well as CI/CD and infrastructure work.

• Bonus: Knowledge of mobile analytics and monitoring tools like Sentry, Mixpanel, or PostHog.
