Software Engineer, PHP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and improve the Keygen platform

• Provide high-quality software solutions from initial concept to final delivery

• Create efficient, testable, and reusable modules in PHP

• Integrate various databases and key-value storage systems

• Implement new features and maintain the current system

• Address complex performance issues and architectural challenges

• Ensure software adheres to architecture, design, programming standards, conventions, and both functional and technical requirements

• Create scalable, cloud-ready applications utilizing PHP 8.x and MySQL

• Work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, product teams, and development teams

• Troubleshoot issues, review code, and establish robust unit tests

• Develop technical specifications and designs for new features and projects

• Produce technical documentation

• Complete project tasks within feasible timeframes

• Address daily development and support inquiries

• Apply modern architecture, design patterns, clean code principles, TDD, and BDD methodologies

• Guarantee timely and seamless delivery of solutions that align with business goals

• Foster service excellence through innovation and effective teamwork

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree-level education or equivalent experience

• More than 5 years of experience in PHP development

• Strong knowledge of the complete PHP technology stack

• Experience in delivering customized software solutions from start to finish

• Familiarity with prototyping and MVP development techniques

• Object-oriented PHP experience in a Symfony environment

• Proficient in Git and CI/CD processes, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Jenkins

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and databases

• Experience with PHP 8.x and MySQL

• Skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Understanding of how HTML pages are rendered in web browsers

• Awareness of the client-server model

• Familiarity with software project life cycles, such as Waterfall and Agile

• Knowledge of application security and scalability

• Proficiency in Unified Modeling Language

• Understanding of solution architecture

• Familiarity with logical and physical data modeling

• Knowledge of design patterns and principles

• Experience with modern MVC frameworks, including Symfony or Laravel

• Appreciation for TDD/BDD methodologies

• Understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns

• Experience with the Symfony Framework

• Familiarity with Docker

• Proficient in MySQL

• Experience with React

• Strong understanding of MVC, OOP PHP, and Doctrine

• Excellent skills in TDD and BDD

• Strong grasp of Clean Code and SOLID principles

• Working knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS S3, Lambda, SQS, and SNS

• Good organizational, planning, and analytical abilities

• Capable of self-management, prioritization, and multitasking

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Industry experience in electronic content delivery and hard drive replication in theatrical distribution

• Proficient with modern office tools, including the Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills
