This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical and product strategy, operations, architecture, and execution for Reddit’s Comments page.

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams across various functions.

• Implement product and business strategies effectively.

• Develop innovative products and features for Reddit's user base.

• Participate in technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and product launches.

• Review code and documentation related to design.

• Provide constructive feedback on product specifications and mockups.

• Contribute to team strategies and long-term planning.

• Enhance developer workflows and suggest best practices.

• Balance the need for rapid development with maintaining product quality.

• Focus on continuous improvement of both technical and non-technical skills.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• At least 3+ years of full-time, hands-on professional software development experience following internships, particularly in large-scale distributed systems.

• 3+ years of experience in software development with one or more general-purpose programming languages: Go, Python, Rust, Ruby.

• Familiarity with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift, or basic concepts of gRPC.

• Capability to design and implement maintainable APIs.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on track.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with teams in a fully remote setting.

• Proficiency in discussing complex subjects with both technical and non-technical audiences.
