Software Engineer – Open Source Contributions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and enhance features within current open source codebases.

• Investigate and fix intricate bugs.

• Refactor and improve legacy code to enhance performance, clarity, and scalability.

• Engage in code validation processes aimed at ensuring accuracy, consistency of output, and adherence to coding best practices.

• Utilize advanced algorithms and competitive programming techniques to tackle complex problems.

• Work remotely with contributors to assess suggested changes.

• Keep project documentation updated.

• Create technical documents that clarify solution design and implementation details.

• Contribute to initiatives that aid in training next-generation AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in at least two of the following: Python, C++, Java, Rust, Typescript, Go, or C#.

• Significant experience in open source contributions, especially in feature development, bug resolution, and codebase refactoring.

• Proven expertise in competitive programming and the analysis of complex coding problems.

• Strong analytical capabilities to interpret intricate problem constraints and discover various solution approaches.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for the creation of technical documentation and collaboration with peers.

• Keen attention to detail in code reviews, validation, and project maintenance.

• Ability to work independently within a remote, collaborative setting.

• Dedication to delivering high-quality, well-documented code while adhering to project deadlines.

• Must complete a minimum number of tasks each week.

• Must be prepared to start immediately, with the first tasks anticipated within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
