Software Engineer – NextJS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Adapt to fast-paced and collaborative work settings, making independent decisions and communicating them effectively.

• Validate project requirements by reviewing program objectives, input data, and output needs with Project Managers, supervisors, and clients.

• Provide project estimates based on requirements, wireframes, and designs.

• Actively communicate risks, known issues, and changelogs.

• Contribute to all stages of the development lifecycle.

• Collaborate as part of a team.

• Ensure compliance of code with industry best practices.

• Conduct peer code reviews.

• Develop projects that are free from significant defects.

• Investigate new libraries, techniques, and ideas.

• Support local community events and initiatives.

• Publish blog posts that demonstrate technical expertise.

• Take ownership of fulfilling new and diverse requests while seeking opportunities to add value.

• Must reside in Brazil.

• Submit resume in English as a PDF.

• Supportive of open-source principles.

• At least 3 years of experience with Javascript.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with NextJS.

• Experience in developing and deploying REST APIs.

• Proficient in JSON modeling and usage.

• Skilled in querying and modeling with a relational data store.

• Familiarity with package managers such as npm or pip.

• Experience using Git for version control.

• Background in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

• Committed to enhancing project test coverage.

• AWS Certifications or willingness to obtain certification (preferred).

• Interest in Generative AI technologies (preferred).

• At least 2 years of experience with React (preferred).
