This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Take ownership of key projects from start to finish as the Directly Responsible Individual, leading the development of stablecoin-based money movement features from system design to production rollout.
β’ Develop backend systems, infrastructure, and both internal and external APIs that enable businesses and partners to integrate stablecoin-powered payments into their offerings.
β’ Collaborate with Product, Design, Infrastructure, and Compliance teams to translate requirements into effective, scalable solutions that balance speed, security, and compliance with regulations.
β’ Implement enhancements to performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed systems, identifying bottlenecks and proactively addressing issues before they affect customers.
β’ Foster engineering excellence through code reviews, best practices in architecture, and technical patterns that elevate the overall technical standards.
β’ Construct the infrastructure that supports global payments, including stablecoin-based pay-ins, payouts, deposits, and withdrawals.
β’ Minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering focused on building and operating backend systems, ideally within fintech, payments, or cryptocurrency sectors.
β’ Expertise in backend programming languages such as Go or Java.
β’ Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS or GCP.
β’ Practical knowledge in designing distributed systems and APIs.
β’ Proven track record serving as DRI for technical projects, overseeing end-to-end delivery from system design to production deployment.
β’ Familiarity with integrating or developing on blockchain or cryptocurrency technologies, including stablecoins, on-chain payments, or smart contract platforms such as Ethereum, Solana, or Base.
β’ Ability to draft technical design documents and effectively communicate architectural trade-offs to product and engineering teams.
β’ Responsible use of generative AI under human supervision.
