Software Engineer, Mobile

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain user-centric features in our React Native mobile applications for iOS (and Android as we grow).

• Create and execute mobile components and subsystems that are high-performing, maintainable, and scalable across various platforms.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to define, implement, and launch features that meet user and business requirements.

• Contribute to enhancements of the platform, including tooling, testing methodologies, CI/CD, and performance tracking.

• Partner with backend engineers to establish mobile-specific APIs and enhance client-server integration practices.

• Detect and address performance or reliability challenges within the mobile experience.

• Engage in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning to elevate engineering standards across the team.

• Foster a robust mobile engineering culture through mentorship, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) along with 4 years in the field.

• Experience in React Native development, and familiarity with at least one native platform (e.g., Swift/Objective-C for iOS or Kotlin/Java for Android).

• Knowledge of mobile performance, memory management, and platform-specific limitations.

• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners in product, design, and backend engineering.

• Take responsibility for your work and feel confident in delivering complex features from conception to deployment.

• Maintain a balance of speed and quality, advocating for engineering solutions that are maintainable and scalable.

• Contribute positively to team culture and engineering practices through feedback, mentorship, and collaboration.
