Software Engineer, Mid Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop production user interfaces utilizing TypeScript and React based on UX designs and prototypes

• Create model configuration and threat-selection workflows that incorporate multi-step processes, parameter forms, validation, and error recovery

• Construct data-rich tables, dashboards, drill-down experiences, and map-based visualizations for pipeline risk

• Design interfaces capable of handling long-running analytical operations, complete with progress indicators, partial results, and failure recovery mechanisms

• Create reusable typed components and actively contribute to the implementation of component libraries and design systems

• Develop and design REST APIs using TypeScript and Python for model configuration, execution, and results retrieval

• Establish orchestration services for managing long-running jobs, tracking statuses, ensuring result persistence, and facilitating recovery

• Implement asynchronous processing patterns and event-driven architectures

• Design database schemas and queries across application data stores and lakehouse serving layers

• Integrate Databricks and Azure services, including model-serving endpoints, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, API Management, and container-hosted services

• Maintain OpenAPI specifications and create interactive API documentation

• Build workflows for customer model deployment, configuration, execution, data mapping, and results integration

• Enforce tenant isolation and governance controls for customer-deployed code

• Write automated tests for components, interactions, units, integration, and APIs

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of applications and APIs

• Implement security measures, including authentication, authorization, tenant isolation, and risk remediation

• Engage in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, technical and design reviews, architecture documentation, and adherence to engineering standards

• Collaborate closely with Design, Data Engineering, Data Science, Product, QA, and Engineering teams

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in full-stack software development

• Proficient in TypeScript and React, including hooks, state management, component composition, and performance optimization for data-intensive interfaces

• Capable of faithfully implementing UX designs with meticulous attention to spacing, component states, transitions, and interaction details

• Strong back-end development experience with TypeScript and Python, including the ability to build and utilize REST APIs in a production environment

• Expertise in relational database design, query creation, and optimization techniques

• Practical experience with a major cloud provider, preferably Azure, including managed compute, storage, API gateway, secrets management, and monitoring services

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, queues, or pub/sub systems for asynchronous processing and result delivery

• Knowledge of modern front-end tooling and testing, including build systems, package management, and component or end-to-end testing frameworks

• Proficient in Git and skilled in branch-based development workflows

• Understanding of DevOps practices, such as CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment automation

• Experience in vulnerability management and remediation, including dependency scanning and security patching

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail

• Preferred: Experience with data-dense analytical interfaces, mapping and geospatial visualization, charting and data visualization tools, design tooling, OpenAPI or Swagger, Databricks/Apache Spark, machine-learning model-serving endpoints, containerized deployment, multi-tenant SaaS, and AI-assisted or agentic coding tools

• Nice to have: Exposure to asset integrity, damage prevention, land management, or stakeholder engagement; experience with auditable and traceable software; knowledge of plugin or extension frameworks; understanding of WCAG accessibility; familiarity with shared component libraries
