Software Engineer, Metronome Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop a comprehensive suite of products that enables users to model and manage their businesses more effectively.

• Create, build, test, and deploy code daily across a variety of technologies, systems, and processes.

• Collaborate with experts in infrastructure, security, design, and operations.

• Create essential internal and external features that empower Stripe users globally.

• Innovate the next generation of Stripe products to meet the high-growth demands of the company and its customers.

• Provide value through a collaborative, user-centric approach with stakeholders and customers.

• Mentor engineers to facilitate their professional development.

• Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues across services and various levels of the technology stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–12+ years of experience in backend software development.

• Proficient in writing high-quality code using programming languages such as Go, Java, C/C++, etc.

• Practical experience in contributing to or developing large-scale distributed systems.

• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work across multiple work streams while supporting the success of colleagues.

• Capacity to excel with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, adopting an entrepreneurial mindset.
