Software Engineer – Lecture Engagement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Facilitate interaction between professors and students during lecture sessions

• Drive essential initiatives throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from discovery and planning to development and release

• Collaborate with peers in Product, Design, and Engineering

• Suggest ideas, experiment with solutions, and iterate on technology and products

• Leverage new AI technology to enhance the team's building and operational processes

• Participate in a cross-functional scrum team to design and develop scalable, user-centric features

• Address bugs and manage individual tickets

• Ensure the continuous enhancement of products

• Develop features that foster engaging classroom experiences for both students and educators

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in full-stack software development

• Proficient in front-end technologies, preferably React

• Experience in back-end development; familiarity with Django and FastAPI is desirable, but experience with similar frameworks is also acceptable

• Proactive in problem-solving and capable of navigating through ambiguity

• Innovative mindset with a keen interest in experimentation

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with active listening abilities

• Capability to connect with both technical and non-technical audiences

• Dedication to writing reliable, tested code and taking ownership of work quality

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
