Staff Software Engineer, Enterprise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, deploy, and sustain highly resilient and scalable features within Toast’s Sports & Entertainment product suite.

• Lead intricate projects aimed at enhancing customer functionality and reliability.

• Collaborate with various teams across Toast.

• Create automated tests to ensure product quality.

• Launch features to customers and track their success.

• Work alongside Design and Product teams on feature definition and design.

• Collaborate with Customer Success, Solutions, Sales, Care, and Onboarding teams to ensure technical deliverables align with enterprise customer expectations and long-term strategies.

• Mentor and guide other engineers.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance the development workflow, increase velocity, and introduce innovative approaches.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in building backend services and APIs.

• Extensive expertise in an object-oriented programming language such as Java or Kotlin.

• Profound knowledge of testing, quality assurance, and industry best practices.

• Proven experience in delivering production services while maintaining a balance between delivery and platform stability and reliability.

• Experience in developing backend services and APIs, as well as scaling distributed systems.

• Experience in building Android applications using Kotlin is a plus.

• Experience in developing front-end applications is advantageous.
