Software Engineer – Kotlin, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs utilizing Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.

• Build and enhance microservices-based solutions, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.

• Architect new modules and backend components while contributing to critical technical decisions.

• Continuously refine existing systems to boost performance, scalability, and code quality.

• Collaborate with MongoDB, Spring Data MongoDB, and Google Cloud Platform as part of the application ecosystem.

• Write and maintain high-quality, well-tested code in accordance with engineering best practices.

• Integrate AI-assisted and agentic coding tools into your daily software development process.

• Work alongside Product Managers, Data Analysts, UX Designers, and other engineers to translate product and business requirements into technical solutions.

• Occasionally engage in web or mobile development as project requirements dictate.

• Proficient in utilizing AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, OpenCode, or other agentic coding tools, in your daily development activities.

• Strong expertise in both Kotlin and Java programming languages.

• Practical experience in developing backend applications using Spring Boot.

• Experience in designing and implementing solutions based on microservices architecture.

• Focused on building, testing, and maintaining high-quality backend services and APIs.

• Ability to design the architecture for new modules and proactively seek opportunities for system optimization and enhancement.

• Experience collaborating closely with product and business teams, including Product Managers, Data Analysts, and UX Designers, to define and refine technical and functional requirements.

• Strong grasp of software engineering best practices and dedication to upholding high engineering standards.

• Versatile with cross-functional skills; hands-on knowledge of frontend or mobile technologies (Web / iOS / Android) sufficient to take on responsibilities outside the backend domain.

• Intermediate understanding of MongoDB and Spring Data MongoDB.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Commercial experience with Java is required in the application form.

• Commercial experience with Kotlin is required in the application form.

• EU citizenship is required in the application form.
