Software Engineer, Java, SDD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Backend development using Java and technologies from the Spring ecosystem

• Designing and developing APIs with an API First approach

• Implementation of hexagonal architecture, microservices, and event-driven architectures

• Management of messaging, queues, partitioning, consumption, and retries

• Working with relational and NoSQL databases

• Optimization of queries and data modeling

• Implementation of CI/CD pipelines and deployments using OpenShift/Kubernetes

• Utilization of monitoring and observability tools

• Development of unit and integration tests

• Application of AI throughout the product lifecycle

• Adoption of Spec Driven Development methodology

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in backend development

• Java 21 or higher

• Proficiency in Spring Boot and Spring Data

• Experience with hexagonal architecture and microservices architecture

• Proven track record in designing APIs with an API First approach (OpenAPI / Swagger)

• Knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, Clean Code, Domain Driven Design (DDD), and TDD

• Experience with Apache Kafka and messaging systems such as ActiveMQ

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and managing queues, partitioning, consumption, and retries

• Experience with relational databases (MariaDB or others) and NoSQL (MongoDB)

• Query optimization, indexing, scalar functions, tuning, and data modeling

• OpenShift / Kubernetes experience

• CI/CD integration and delivery pipelines

• Proficiency in GitHub and Spinnaker

• Monitoring and observability tools: Grafana and Dynatrace

• Experience in unit tests and integration tests

• Technical focus on AI during development

• Use of AI throughout the product lifecycle (development → deployment)

• Familiarity with SDD methodology (Spec Driven Development)
