Software Engineer Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of a defined project aimed at achieving a specific technical or business outcome.

• Collaborate closely with the individuals responsible for the system.

• Showcase the deliverables and insights gained at the conclusion of the summer.

• Develop product features for frontend, backend, full-stack, real-time, or forward-deployed software applications.

• Create interfaces for telemetry, geospatial data, mission planning, scheduling, collaboration, or system health monitoring.

• Design and manage backend services, APIs, event-driven systems, or data pipelines.

• Implement automated testing, enhance developer tools, and assist in delivering production-quality software.

• Facilitate integration and testing events, troubleshoot issues across services and networks, and translate learnings into product enhancements.

• Inquire, validate assumptions, document progress, and ensure the project is improved upon completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline, with graduation and enrollment status to be verified.

• Strong foundational programming skills and experience in developing a significant software project.

• Familiarity with a modern frontend framework, backend language, systems language, or full-stack application development.

• Capability to articulate technical trade-offs, systematically debug, and produce maintainable code.

• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to secure necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State to comply with U.S. Government export regulations.

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

• Must fulfill citizenship prerequisites to achieve a U.S. security clearance.
