Software Engineer III, Service AI Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute event-driven transformation workflows and integrate services utilizing AWS Lambda, Step Functions, S3, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, and Fargate via Infrastructure-as-Code (CDK or Terraform).

• Create AI transformation pipelines leveraging cloud-based foundation-model APIs, prompt orchestration, embeddings, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation methodologies.

• Design internal tools and dashboards employing React/Next.js supported by GraphQL APIs.

• Connect with Kafka streams to facilitate message exchange between domain microservices.

• Aid in AI-centric testing, which includes prompt regression suites, hallucination detection, evaluation harnesses, unit tests, integration tests, and load testing.

• Enable service instrumentation with CloudWatch and Datadog while engaging in CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with senior engineers and Product to decompose requirements into clearly defined technical tasks.

• Engage in design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience in delivering production cloud services.

• Strong background with AWS serverless architectures and event-streaming patterns, specifically Kafka.

• Expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript, React/Next.js, and GraphQL.

• Practical experience with AI orchestration, guardrails, data validation and quality, prompt engineering, and RAG methodologies.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and Infrastructure-as-Code (CDK/Terraform).

• Preferred: experience in healthcare, genomics, or other regulated industries.

• Preferred: familiarity with vector search and semantic similarity techniques.

• Preferred: understanding of data privacy and compliance standards such as HIPAA.
