Software Engineer III – Java, Angular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and support secure, scalable, and robust full-stack Java applications.

• Diagnose technical problems and suggest as well as implement improvements.

• Collaborate on the development of enterprise solutions and drive initiatives forward.

• Operate in a dynamic Agile/Scrum environment.

• Create Java code and designs for both new and existing technology systems.

• Develop and provide technical documentation.

• Engage in peer code and design reviews.

• Build and sustain full-stack Java applications that comply with industry regulatory standards.

• Work closely with team members, technical colleagues, business partners, and Architects.

• Adhere to SDLC frameworks, encompassing requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, release management, and deployment.

• Lead teams in achieving project goals, objectives, and timelines.

• Offer engineering guidance and mentorship to junior engineers located globally.

• Ensure compliance with audit and security standards.

• Review code for maintainability, adherence to coding standards, and security vulnerabilities.

• Participate in Agile events and adhere to Agile methodologies.

• Encourage innovation and tackle existing challenges.

• Exercise judgment and discretion in decision-making.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, a related technology field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Seven years of professional experience in software development required, specifically in Java.

• Two years of experience acting as a subject matter expert.

• Expertise in using Angular for UI coding.

• Proficiency as a Java full-stack software engineer.

• Ideally, knowledge of two or more modern programming languages.

• Advanced technical skills in developing APIs, frontend and backend systems, data development, and architecture.

• Comprehensive understanding of databases, including the ability to create basic to complex SQL statements.

• Proficiency in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.

• Capability to modify existing code and write complex scripts in accordance with standards and best practices.

• Experience in leading and authoring technical specifications and detailed designs.

• Advanced knowledge of coding standards.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

• Availability to be on-call as required.
