Software Engineer III – Full Stack, Angular, Java, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions that meet business requirements, creating adaptable and reusable components throughout the entire stack.

• Construct and enhance user-facing applications utilizing modern Angular, TypeScript, and a component-based front-end architecture.

• Spearhead technical design for intricate features and initiatives, producing clear technical documentation while ensuring compliance with IT control policies.

• Create and maintain backend services and integrations using Java, AWS services, and various database technologies.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to manage technical dependencies and deliver high-quality products.

• Diagnose root causes of system issues, evaluate upstream and downstream effects, and propose practical, far-reaching solutions.

• Adhere to best practices in development, testing, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies, fostering strong working relationships to influence technical decisions across teams.

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of system architecture, integrations, and data flows.

• Actively utilize AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and improve code quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, coupled with a BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 4 years of experience in developing modern web applications with Angular, including practical experience with Angular 17+ or later versions.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript, component-based UI development, reactive programming patterns, and front-end application architecture.

• Over 3 years of experience in designing and implementing backend services using Java and J2EE technologies.

• Familiarity with AWS technologies such as EC2, SNS, SQS, S3, SES, ECS, and Lambda.

• Proficient with databases including MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and MySQL.

• Currently engaged with AI tools to boost software development productivity and continually expanding that practice as tooling advances.

• Knowledge of design best practices covering performance, scalability, robustness, and resiliency.

• Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team on multiple overlapping projects.

• Proven history of successfully delivering large, complex, cross-functional projects.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

• Strong capacity to develop and maintain modern Angular applications with a focus on usability, performance, maintainability, and component reuse.

• Effective communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences, with the capability to clearly articulate complex concepts.

• Strong collaboration skills with product, design, QA, DevOps, and backend engineering teams across varying levels of technical expertise.

• Comprehensive understanding of system-wide impacts and interdependencies across products, teams, and the larger organization.

• Ability to contribute to technical direction, enhance engineering practices, and spot opportunities for thoughtful modernization.

• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a complex product environment.

• Practical problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose and resolve issues across front-end, backend, data, and cloud service boundaries.
