Software Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and execution of intricate features and services on the SaaS platform utilizing C# and .NET.

• Partner with architects and product managers to establish technical requirements and system architecture.

• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code across the entire stack, including Blazor and ASP.NET MVC.

• Conduct code reviews and offer technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.

• Detect and address performance, scalability, and reliability challenges in distributed systems.

• Contribute to the advancement of engineering best practices, tools, and development methodologies.

• Engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross-functional technical discussions.

• Employ design patterns and SOLID principles to ensure code is maintainable and extensible.

• Implement unit testing using MSTest, xUnit, or NUnit.

• Apply Domain-Driven Design and microservices architecture to enable scalable solutions.

• Create accurate, testable specifications, acceptance criteria, and concise design documents for AI-agent implementation.

• Leverage AI coding agents like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot for feature delivery, refactoring, test generation, and documentation, while maintaining accountability for correctness, security, and maintainability.

• Assist in establishing team standards for AI-assisted engineering, which include agent instructions and human review checkpoints.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5–8 years of professional software development experience, ideally in a SaaS or cloud-native setting.

• Expertise in C# and .NET Core/.NET Framework.

• Experience with Blazor and ASP.NET MVC.

• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs using .NET, microservices architecture, and relational/non-relational databases such as SQL Server and Azure Cosmos DB.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines like Azure DevOps, and Agile development practices.

• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Azure and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service.

• Preferred: Knowledge of observability tools like Azure Monitor and Application Insights, along with performance tuning expertise.

• Preferred: Background in SaaS challenges, including multi-tenancy, usage metering, and feature flagging.

• Preferred: Experience with NuGet packages like AutoMapper, MediatR, FluentValidation, and Entity Framework Core.

• Preferred: Familiarity with agentic development workflows and tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot agent mode, and Model Context Protocol servers integrated into CI/CD.

• Preferred: Experience in assessing AI-generated code for security, licensing, and quality risks, and defining team-wide guardrails.

• Preferred: Exposure to AI-enabled product features like Azure OpenAI, retrieval-augmented generation, and prompt orchestration.
