Software Engineer III

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical design and architecture initiatives for systems that are scalable, reliable, and have high availability.

• Facilitate the integration of AI-enabled engineering practices within the team, fostering effective methodologies and mentoring fellow engineers.

• Conceptualize and execute AI-driven and agentic solutions, which include orchestration, integrations, context/retrieval patterns, and human oversight.

• Develop AI solutions focusing on quality, observability, security, reliability, cost/performance, evaluation, and failure management.

• Examine business and technical requirements, converting them into system and application solutions.

• Deliver advanced support and troubleshooting for applications, systems, and infrastructure.

• Administer and supervise performance testing, debugging, and optimization processes.

• Conduct code reviews and uphold development standards, best practices, and coding methodologies.

• Lead or assist in the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of applications and systems.

• Collaborate effectively with developers, analysts, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.

• Aid in incident management, triage complex issues, and implement necessary resolutions.

• Employ SDLC, Agile, and CI/CD practices to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Design and implement system integrations involving applications, databases, and communication platforms.

• Identify technical risks and ensure solutions are scalable and adaptable, aligned with the organization’s growth.

• Contribute to team objectives and mentor less experienced team members.

• Utilize agentic AI development tools to enhance delivery speed, improve quality, reduce manual efforts, and boost engineering productivity.

• Explore new technologies, challenge existing processes, and develop scalable solutions to enhance business value, engineering effectiveness, and customer experience.

• Undertake other job-related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required, or equivalent years of relevant work experience will be accepted in place of the required education.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in software development, engineering, or a related technical field is essential.

• Advanced experience in object-oriented programming (OOP), system design, and application development is required.

• Prior experience designing multi-tier or enterprise-level applications and systems is preferred.

• Experience with infrastructure, networking, or communication systems is also preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in AI-assisted development tools, including prompt engineering and AI-assisted code review, is necessary.

• Understanding of AI/ML integration patterns, including APIs, model consumption, and data pipelines is important.

• Strong knowledge of programming languages, frameworks, and software development tools is required.

• An advanced understanding of system architecture, infrastructure, and integration concepts is essential.

• Expertise in SDLC methodologies, including Agile and CI/CD practices, is required.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities are necessary.

• Capability to work independently and manage intricate technical assignments is essential.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are important.

• Ability to mentor, guide, and positively influence team members is required.

• A mindset of adaptability and continuous learning in relation to emerging technologies is essential.

• AI/ML or cloud AI certification is preferred.

• The position is in a general office environment; there may be a requirement to sit or stand for prolonged periods.

• Travel is not typically necessary.
