Software Engineer II, Fullstack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Decompose larger projects into manageable tasks, deliver them in phases, and collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion.

• Work closely with product management, design, and analytics throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

• Engage in brainstorming sessions, articulate technical limitations, and collaborate on decisions while considering risks and trade-offs.

• Establish and track metrics that support the operations and availability of team deliverables.

• Address issues and contribute to ongoing maintenance and on-call responsibilities.

• Participate in growth and development activities, including involvement in the interview process.

• Develop and manage Direct-to-Consumer products, such as the Affirm App, in international markets.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1.5 years of experience working as a software engineer.

• Proven experience in delivering web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.

• Skilled in designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale with programming languages such as Python or Kotlin.

• Capability to convert simple problems or business scenarios into solutions that involve multiple software components.

• Proficient in writing clear, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Comfortable navigating extensive codebases and troubleshooting others' code.

• Experience in providing constructive feedback through code reviews.

• Demonstrated ownership of personal growth and a proactive approach to seeking feedback.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration with a global engineering team.
