Software Engineer II, Fullstack – App Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Decompose larger projects into distinct tasks and deliver them across multiple phases.

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely project completions.

• Partner with product management, design, and analytics during the ideation and decision-making processes.

• Clearly communicate technical constraints and assess risks and trade-offs.

• Develop and track metrics for team deliverables.

• Address issues and assist with operational availability, including on-call responsibilities.

• Engage in growth and development initiatives, including participating in the interview process.

• Contribute to front-end-facing projects that involve collaboration across mobile and web technologies.

• Collaborate with product experience teams within Affirm.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.

• Proven experience in deploying web applications using declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.

• Background in shipping mobile applications utilizing native or cross-platform languages like React Native.

• Experience in designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale with languages like Kotlin or Python.

• Ability to transform straightforward problems or business scenarios into solutions involving multiple software components.

• Proficient in writing clear, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Comfortable working within a large codebase and debugging others' code.

• Experience in providing constructive feedback through code reviews.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
