Software Engineer II – Collaborative Web Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and deploy comprehensive features across backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces.

• Produce clean, thoroughly tested, and maintainable code, ensuring shared responsibility for quality.

• Engage in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.

• Work collaboratively with product and design teams to convert requirements into functional software.

• Incorporate AI tools into the development process and product offerings.

• Take part in code reviews to uphold high engineering standards.

• Establish core functionalities for a real-time collaborative content platform.

• Assist in defining the product and determining its development in a startup environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong full-stack skills, with hands-on experience in both backend and frontend development.

• Proficient in modern API design practices, including REST, GraphQL, or webhooks.

• Comfortable operating within cloud-native environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure).

• Solid understanding of software fundamentals, including testing, trade-offs, and maintainability.

• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend programming language.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Actively engaged in AI development, utilizing it in workflows or integrating it into products.
