Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain code within applications and systems to implement functionalities and features.

• Enhance performance and maintainability while minimizing technical debt in accordance with product and technology roadmaps.

• Engage in Agile planning activities.

• Collaborate with Product Management to identify customer and end-user challenges and design feasible solutions.

• Suggest process, technology, and interface improvements that enhance team efficiency and reduce technical debt.

• Anticipate capacity needs for component usage and recognize limitations.

• Contribute to story sizing, backlog refinement, and release planning.

• Assist in product and solution designs that tackle critical issues and complex challenges.

• Create software applications across various platforms to meet stakeholder demands.

• Comprehend technical architecture and produce software and automated tests in line with established standards.

• Conduct troubleshooting and investigations as needed.

• Offer continuous support, monitoring, and maintenance for deployed products.

• Provide technical mentorship and oversight to junior software engineers.

• Engage in the engineering community and stay updated on emerging software technologies and best practices.

• Share knowledge and insights with others in the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of industry experience and education.

• 2–5 years of relevant work experience.

• Practical experience in the design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, as well as client-facing web applications and major Internet-oriented applications and systems.

• Experience in realizing applications from conception and design to implementation and support.

• Proficiency in coding across multiple technology stacks, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#.Net, and Entity Framework.

• Experience with SQL Server, including building complex queries and update statements.

• Familiarity with application lifecycle methodologies (e.g., agile, iterative).

• Background in analysis, design, and programming.

• Experience with cloud-based systems is advantageous, particularly with AWS.

• Familiarity with AI-driven development is a plus.
