Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain backend services and RESTful APIs utilizing .NET Core/.NET 5+

• Implement and utilize APIs that support React-based frontend applications

• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests for both backend and frontend components

• Query and extract data from SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert requirements into technical solutions

• Engage in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and initiatives for continuous improvement

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code to expedite development and enhance code quality

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience

• Over 5 years of experience in backend application development using .NET Core or .NET 5+

• More than 4 years of experience in creating frontend applications with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript

• Proven experience in building and utilizing RESTful APIs

• Practical knowledge of SQL Server or PostgreSQL

• Experience in writing unit tests and familiarity with popular testing frameworks

• Proficient with Git and standard version control practices

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and contemporary developer productivity workflows is preferred

• Exposure to microservices or service-oriented architecture is preferred

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized development (Docker) is preferred

• Cloud experience with AWS or comparable platforms is preferred

• Understanding of authentication and authorization principles (OAuth, JWT, RBAC) is preferred

• Experience with GraphQL, message queues, or event-driven systems is an advantage

• Prior experience or expertise in K–12 education, Student Information Systems, or EdTech is preferred
