This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Independently design and develop products for customers and associates.
• Create, launch, and maintain production applications.
• Engage in configuration, security, resilience, performance optimization, and production monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with UX, engineering, and product management team members.
• Document, review, and ensure adherence to quality and change control standards.
• Partner with the Product Team to guarantee that user stories are developer-ready, clear, and testable.
• Write code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, and testing processes.
• Develop code or scripts for destructive testing to verify production resilience.
• Conduct program configuration, modification, and setup activities on large-scale projects using HD-approved methodologies.
• Configure commercial off-the-shelf solutions to adapt to changing business requirements.
• Establish dashboards, logging, alerting, and responses to proactively identify and address issues.
• Engage in agile processes and contribute to team enhancement.
• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
• Proficient in writing SQL queries for relational databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Proficient in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.
• Experience with source code version control.
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL database technologies.
• Experience with cloud computing methodologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
• Experience with microservice-based architecture.
• Proficient in modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques.
• Exposure to security frameworks for user and service authorization and authentication.
• Experience in creating and executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests.
