Fullstack Developer, Java, React, AI Tooling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and manage scalable digital products for both customers and internal teams.

• Engage with the complete stack throughout the software development life cycle.

• Create APIs and design distributed backend services.

• Construct modern, accessible web interfaces.

• Take ownership of features from inception to completion.

• Utilize authorized AI-assisted development tools for tasks such as code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, code analysis, and technical investigation.

• Review, validate, and enhance AI-generated outputs.

• Build, deploy, and sustain cloud-native applications on AWS.

• Participate in technical decision-making within a collaborative, product-focused team.

• Assist in managing high-traffic digital platforms, prioritizing performance, reliability, and scalability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience with AI tools for code generation, refactoring, test automation, documentation creation, code analysis, and technical investigations.

• Capability to assess, validate, and enhance AI-generated outputs for quality, security, and maintainability.

• Extensive commercial experience with Java 17 LTS or later, along with Spring Boot 3.x.

• Background in building and managing distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and microservices.

• Proficiency in MySQL 8 schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Experience in the development, deployment, and maintenance of AWS cloud-native applications.

• Strong commercial expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Experience in creating modern web applications utilizing React 18.

• Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility, and responsive design principles.

• Comprehensive knowledge of software engineering best practices, including testing, code quality, and maintainability.

• Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and contemporary software delivery practices.

• Experience with containerization technologies.

• Understanding of infrastructure, monitoring, and observability practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

• Experience with Next.js in production environments is a plus.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of Apache Kafka or other event-streaming technologies is advantageous.

• Experience with modern observability and monitoring tools is preferred.

• Background in large-scale digital, retail, or eCommerce settings is favorable.

• AWS certifications are preferred.

• Proficiency in Portuguese is an advantage.
