This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and integrate web applications, services, and tools as a full-stack developer.

• Utilize agentic AI tools such as Claude Code throughout the design, construction, testing, and deployment phases.

• Engage in Agile planning, reviews, and retrospective meetings.

• Work collaboratively with team members to address technical challenges and enhance development processes.

• Create and deploy dependable, high-performance web applications.

• Assist in testing and automate testing with AI where applicable.

• Remain updated with the latest technologies and AI tools.

• Take ownership of tasks, ensuring timely completion and compliance with standards.

• Participate in architectural discussions and propose enhancements.

• Conduct code reviews, including the verification of AI-generated code.

• Resolve development and production issues.

• Document technical designs and best practices.

• Take part in training sessions and workshops.

• Recommend process improvements.

• Share expertise with team members.

• Provide updates and raise concerns with stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java backend web applications.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong expertise in Java.

• Experience in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code in accordance with industry best practices.

• Solid grasp of relational databases.

• Proficient in SQL for data manipulation and querying.

• Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

• Knowledge of AWS services and cloud computing concepts.

• Capability to write clean, efficient code and tackle complex technical issues.

• Good judgment in reviewing and validating code produced using AI tools.

• Willingness to learn continuously and adapt to changes.

• General knowledge of AI is a plus.

• Experience with Claude Code or GitHub Copilot is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be offered.

• Final candidates will be required to undergo a background check and identity verification.
