Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and scale backend services along with Kafka-based streaming pipelines that process user behavior data on AWS infrastructure.

• Create microservices and APIs that expose user segments and behavioral models for traditional UI and agentic interfaces.

• Convert behavioral signals into segments and models for the wider platform.

• Utilize and assess AI coding assistants and agents for tasks such as code generation, review, production troubleshooting, and team integration.

• Engage in architectural discussions and define solutions for moderately complex challenges.

• Construct, deploy, roll back, and manage software, including participation in on-call duties.

• Streamline manual operational workflows with tools to enhance resilience and operability.

• Offer constructive, service-level-aware feedback and engage in engineering communities of practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fully skilled in Java, capable of designing, developing, testing, and deploying small to medium features and bug fixes independently.

• Experience in constructing Kafka-based streaming pipelines and services within an AWS production setting.

• Background in distributed systems, concurrency, scaling, and asynchronous programming methodologies.

• Active involvement with AI coding assistants and agents in everyday engineering tasks.

• Collaborative approach with a focus on shared code ownership.

• Ability to navigate uncertainty with an iterative mindset while aligning work with strategic and architectural goals.

• Proficiency in English.
