Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain intricate software systems.

• Produce high-quality code for medium-complexity scenarios, ensuring excellent test coverage.

• Evaluate and convert product requirements into robust, modular, configurable, reusable, rapid, efficient, user-friendly, secure, compliant, scalable, and maintainable application designs.

• Support application system needs as required.

• Engage in application design and code reviews to uphold best practices, Mercury standards, and superior quality.

• Guide and mentor less experienced engineers by providing technical insights.

• Cultivate a culture of innovation and excellence within the Mercury engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proficiency in one or more industry-standard programming languages, including Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript.

• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

• Familiarity with relational databases, NoSQL, and caching solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication skills.

• Capacity to work independently on straightforward tasks.

• Ability to collaborate and influence team members to overcome obstacles and achieve desired outcomes.

• A Master’s Degree in Computer Science is preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is preferred.
