Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Create and maintain both new and existing software products throughout their entire lifecycle, encompassing research, design, implementation, testing, training, and ongoing support.

• Evaluate technical requirements and adhere to established software designs for development, debugging, documentation, and testing purposes.

• Modify, develop, and execute software programming applications.

• Provide support and maintenance for current software applications.

• Engage in testing activities to ensure software quality and performance standards are met.

• Conduct maintenance, feature development, quality assurance, documentation, and infrastructure or performance-related tasks across the application stack.

• Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of development best practices and technical standards.

• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, system architects, and technical support teams.

• Fulfill additional requests, projects, and tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• 2 to 4 years of professional experience in software development.

• Proficiency in developing applications with Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Spring Boot, Angular, and jQuery.

• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or MariaDB.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to take ownership and demonstrate sound judgment.

• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile or Scrum methodologies.

• Experience using Jira and Confluence or other similar development collaboration tools.

• Background in healthcare, healthcare technology, or software solutions supporting healthcare organizations.

• Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States at the time of hire.

• Preferred: Experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.

• Preferred: Familiarity with scripting languages, HL7, or X12.

• Preferred: Experience with Apache Tomcat, Redis, Git, and Jenkins.

• Preferred: Knowledge of working in Linux and AWS environments.

• Preferred: Experience in healthcare revenue cycle management or the insurance domain.
