This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Design and implement real-time data pipelines while addressing big data challenges utilizing Spark, Python, Java/Scala, SQL, and AWS.
• Produce reliable, maintainable, and well-documented code that supports millions of users.
• Establish and sustain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Carry out the complete software development lifecycle as a member of an Agile team.
• Work closely with Product Managers to clarify and adjust requirements.
• Adhere to established design principles and design patterns.
• Conduct unit testing and integration testing.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to assess the success of deployed features and address any issues.
• Assist business teams and product managers with data extraction and analysis.
• Develop software for user interfaces, business logic, data modeling, systems, and component integration.
• Create analytics tools using data pipelines to deliver actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and business performance metrics.
• Execute pull request reviews and integrate CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and manage end-to-end ETL pipelines for both real-time and batch processing, ensuring secure and efficient transfer of large datasets from MSSQL environments to cloud-based data warehouses.
• Develop streaming architecture utilizing SNS, Kinesis Data Streams, and Kinesis Data Analytics for real-time insights and schema-validated data ingestion.
• Employ Github, SQL, REST APIs, and Jira in daily tasks.
• Master’s degree or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Technology Management, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 1 year (12 months) experience in a software engineering role or a closely related position.
• At least 1 year (12 months) of experience with pull request reviews and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• A minimum of 1 year (12 months) of experience in developing and managing pipelines to ensure safe and efficient transfer of large datasets.
• At least 1 year (12 months) of experience in crafting and optimizing complex, performance-oriented SQL queries.
• Minimum of 1 year (12 months) of experience in engineering advanced data features and architectures to guarantee high-quality data delivery.
• At least 1 year (12 months) of experience using Github, SQL, REST APIs, and Jira.
• Experience may be acquired concurrently.
