📋 Description

• Design and sustain backend services and full-stack web applications utilizing Python, with potential incorporation of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java.

• Employ security best practices, including adherence to the OWASP Top 10 guidelines.

• Engage with TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL protocols.

• Contribute to every phase of the project lifecycle, from system architecture to deployment and resolution of post-release issues.

• Create and integrate platform components utilized by both customers and engineering teams.

• Utilize system design principles to develop scalable solutions.

• Supervise deployments, Docker containerization, proxy management, certificate handling, and ensure reliability.

• Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.

• Improve the functionality and security of Akamai Control Center and Linode Cloud Manager authentication platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and system design, evidenced by formal education or equivalent practical experience.

• Proven backend development experience with Python and frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI.

• Experience in creating production-grade RESTful APIs.

• Proficiency in SQL, Docker, Git, and shell scripting.

• Experience overseeing services in live production environments.

• Solid understanding of internet technologies, core web protocols, web security concepts, and OWASP Top 10 practices.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and utilize AI-assisted development tools.

• Preferred: Full-stack/frontend experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Angular.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Java/Spring or NoSQL databases.

• Preferred: Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, SAML, or authentication systems.
