Software Engineer, Identity Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop essential elements of the identity synchronization pipeline, encompassing ingestion, transformation, validation, and installation phases.

• Create and enhance the synchronization observability framework for effective monitoring, alerting, failure detection, and operational tools.

• Collaborate with various teams to address monitoring and reliability issues, proactively identifying sync failures and stalled jobs before they impact customers.

• Establish safety measures, circuit breakers, and self-healing reconciliation processes to ensure trustworthy identity data management at scale.

• Influence technical decisions through architecture evaluations, mentoring, and collaboration with engineers on complex synchronization and accuracy challenges.

• Advocate for resilience, observability, and scalability throughout the identity synchronization infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a backend or platform engineer developing production data pipelines that are relied upon by other teams.

• Familiarity with Dagster, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.

• Strong grasp of correctness, idempotency, retries, and operational visibility within systems integrating hundreds of third-party services.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, or TypeScript.

• Emphasis on clean API design, testability, and observability.

• Comprehensive understanding of data integrity, service level objectives (SLOs), and proactive detection strategies.

• Experience with circuit breakers, self-healing mechanisms, and operational discipline in critical, high-volume data pipelines.

• Knowledge of identity and access governance (IGA) data, including identities, accounts, entitlements, and group memberships.

• Capability to work from any location within ±4 hours of Pacific Time.
