Software Engineer I, External Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, test, and deliver comprehensive full-stack products

• Tackle intricate challenges and take ownership of solution effectiveness

• Work collaboratively with engineers, platform/infrastructure teams, product managers, designers, and support teams

• Enhance skills in Go, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, and MySQL

• Ensure the operational health of production systems

• Prepare for the future scalability of an expanding library of media assets

• Contribute to the core architecture, roadmap, and the broader engineering community

• Sustain production systems and deliver operational support

• Advocate for and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development

• Proven experience in launching features for customers and iterating based on user feedback

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Capability to articulate technical decisions and accept feedback from stakeholders

• A growth mindset with a quick learning ability

• Proficiency in working independently with minimal supervision

• Comfort in creating end-to-end solutions

• Openness to working across the entire stack

• Proficient in maintaining production systems and providing operational assistance

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

• Ideal candidates will have knowledge of full-stack software engineering and scalable media processing and streaming applications

• Expertise in both backend and frontend technologies for high-performance media applications is preferred
