Software Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance applications that are utilized daily by users and communities.

• Create responsive front-end interfaces and reusable components.

• Convert product and design specifications into functional software.

• Enhance platform usability, accessibility, and overall performance.

• Contribute to C#/.NET, ASP.NET MVC, MSSQL, and Azure backend and infrastructure as required.

• Take ownership of features from start to finish, transforming complex workflows into user-friendly product experiences.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, technical leads, engineers, and support teams.

• Grasp customer and business needs for features and enhancements.

• Implement solutions that align with product objectives and customer feedback.

• Enhance reliability, efficiency, observability, and consistency across systems and operations.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for implementing, debugging, testing, refactoring, documenting, and evaluating coding approaches.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, .NET, C#, jQuery, Azure, and DevOps.

• Capability to utilize AI as a productivity enhancer to address business challenges and streamline internal processes.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.

• Expertise in software development best practices, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and testing methodologies.

• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end features or services of low to moderate complexity.

• Familiarity with system architecture concepts and the ability to articulate design trade-offs.

• A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently on projects of medium to large scope.

• Proactive communication skills and alignment with stakeholders.

• Demonstrated leadership qualities, empathy, patience, collaboration, and communication skills.

• An inquisitive and future-oriented mindset focused on enhancing systems, processes, and team practices.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT/OpenAI coding tools, or similar is highly preferred.

• Must sign and adhere to an Employee Confidential Information Invention Assignment Agreement.
