Software Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Engage in a variety of projects within the organization.

• Offer robust technical expertise in software development across diverse assignments that demand creativity and innovation.

• Formulate methodologies and propose solutions to challenges with considerable flexibility.

• Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics when applicable.

• Assist in writing, testing, and troubleshooting code.

• Aid in the design and development of software applications, modules, or features under the guidance of a project manager or senior developer.

• Diagnose and rectify basic software defects and bugs.

• Collaborate with colleagues to convert requirements into functional code.

• Document code thoroughly and maintain technical documentation.

• Participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and planning sessions.

• Acquire and implement new programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

• Support unit testing and fundamental quality assurance tasks.

• Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least an Associate's Degree.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.

• Capability to assist in writing, testing, and debugging code in alignment with project specifications and coding standards.

• Ability to aid in the design and development of software applications, modules, or features under supervision.

• Competence in troubleshooting and resolving basic software defects and bugs.

• Skill in collaborating with team members to comprehend requirements and translate them into functional code.

• Proficiency in documenting code and maintaining technical documentation.

• Capability to engage in team meetings, stand-ups, and planning sessions.

• Willingness to learn and apply new programming languages, frameworks, and tools as necessary.

• Ability to support testing initiatives, including unit testing and basic quality assurance tasks.
