Software Engineer, Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Choose tasks from a validated selection of Go repositories pinned to specific git commits.

• Investigate repositories along with relevant pull request or issue history to gain insights into subsystems.

• Reformulate questions to challenge cutting-edge coding agents while ensuring they are clearly defined and answerable.

• Modify rubrics and distractors to reward sound reasoning and dismiss plausible yet incorrect answers.

• Execute the complete Studio validation cycle: Check, Golden, Run, Analyze.

• Iterate until every stage of validation is successfully completed.

• Document efforts in task READMEs.

• Submit tasks for expert evaluation and incorporate feedback from reviewers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional software engineering experience, with significant production experience in Go.

• Proficient in navigating large, unfamiliar Go codebases and articulating runtime behavior.

• Expertise in Go concurrency, interfaces, module boundaries, and the standard library.

• Comfortable reading generated code and using build tools.

• Experience with distributed systems, networking, storage engines, or tooling within the Kubernetes ecosystem is highly relevant.

• Strong written English skills.

• Proficient with git at the commit level, containerized environments, and command-line tools.

• Identity verification, background check, signed Terms of Work and CIIAA, tax form submission, and passing a brief calibration quiz are required prior to task access.

• A resume or relevant technical background is necessary for application.

• You may need to complete a short technical assessment or provide further information.
