Mid-Level/Senior Python Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop the universal connector layer that connects agents to enterprise systems, encompassing authentication, retries, idempotency, rate limiting, and observability.

• Create REST API integrations with backlog management, ITSM, ERP, documentation, and job scheduling tools, making these accessible for agents.

• Execute integration with the mainframe environment, which includes JCL package generation, job submission and monitoring, approval workflows, and batch change replication, ensuring validation, rollback, and maintaining an audit trail.

• Design Python validators and parsers, providing guided change completion and verification of mandatory checklists.

• Guarantee integration quality through automated testing, API contracts, and production monitoring.

• Engage in the squad’s technical decision-making and code reviews, promoting CI/CD standards in Azure DevOps.

• Assist intelligent automation initiatives and AI agents utilizing Azure and AI frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–5 years of experience in backend development.

• Strong expertise in Python for services, integrations, and automation, including automated testing and type annotations.

• Comprehensive experience with REST APIs, covering consumption and exposure, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth2 authentication, error handling, and idempotency.

• Demonstrated experience in integrating with mainframe environments, including JCL, job submission and monitoring, and job change management tools.

• Familiarity with Azure in production settings, encompassing Azure Functions or App Service, Entra ID, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.

• Understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure as code in Azure DevOps.

• Knowledge of security practices for integrations, such as secrets management, the principle of least privilege, and audit trails.

• Azure certifications, such as AZ-204 Azure Developer Associate or AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals, are advantageous.

• Experience with mainframe change management tools and enterprise job schedulers like Control-M is beneficial.

• Familiarity with integrating with Jira, Confluence, and SAP via APIs is a plus.

• Awareness of generative AI and agents, including function calling, tools, and MCP, is a plus.

• Experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace is a plus.

• Experience in regulated financial-sector environments, including compliance with LGPD and BACEN requirements, is a plus.

• Ability to collaborate effectively, resolve issues, work independently, and manage time efficiently.
