This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and sustain backend services and APIs utilized across the Sweed platform.
• Engage with C#/.NET, relational databases, queues, caching, and integrations.
• Enhance performance, reliability, observability, and maintainability of live systems.
• Contribute to the evolution of architecture, including microservices and components of the existing monolith.
• Take ownership of technical solutions from design to production in collaboration with product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and backend engineers.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development speed, contextual understanding, and quality.
• Work on both internal and external APIs; including eCommerce, checkout, order management, payments, inventory, or reporting flows; performance enhancements; refactoring; technical debt reduction; monolith decomposition; asynchronous communication; background processing; queues; caching; observability; troubleshooting; and ensuring production reliability.
• Engage in two-week sprints, technical discussions, planning sessions, retrospectives, and cross-functional teamwork.
• Join in rotating weekly support duties approximately once every two months during regular working hours.
• Strong commercial backend development experience with C# and .NET.
• Proven experience in building and supporting production systems.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with microservices, queues, caching, asynchronous processing, or background jobs.
• Capability to troubleshoot production and performance challenges.
• Proficient in clarifying requirements, making technical decisions, and guiding solutions to production.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proficient in English for written communication and occasional calls.
• Experience using AI tools in software development workflows is a plus.
• Nice to have: experience with high-load systems.
• Nice to have: knowledge in eCommerce, payments, checkout, order management, inventory, or reporting.
• Nice to have: experience in decomposing monoliths or enhancing legacy systems.
• Nice to have: familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, or monitoring.
• Nice to have: experience working in product companies or startup-like environments.
• Salary in USD (B2B contract with a US company).
• 100% remote – no office required.
