This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Take ownership of features from inception to completion, encompassing customer ideas, data modeling, and interface creation.
• Develop interactive product interfaces, such as chat functionalities, ambient agents, and tools that can be called by models.
• Utilize coding agents, particularly Amp, to create products.
• Implement and enhance standards for data modeling, GraphQL, and component architecture.
• Acquire knowledge in the estate-planning sector by engaging with experts in wealth strategies, advisors, attorneys, and officials.
• Collaborate closely with product designers to transform tax and legal concepts into practical tools for advisors.
• Create features that encompass document ingestion, knowledge graph creation, tax and wealth transfer modeling, collaborative features, chat agents, diagram-based user interfaces, and advisory/trust-administration workflows.
• Deploy small, reviewable updates to production several times daily via Continuous Integration (CI).
• Engage with customers, monitor product usage, and integrate feedback into product strategies.
• Work alongside the CEO, Head of Engineering, Head of Product, and in-house subject matter experts.
• A minimum of four years of software engineering experience at organizations with robust engineering practices, preferably in startups.
• Proficient across the technology stack.
• Experience or knowledge of Postgres data modeling.
• Familiarity with Go for implementing product functionalities.
• Experience or understanding of React and TypeScript for creating user interfaces.
• Knowledge of cloud web applications and intricate data models.
• Familiarity with technologies such as React, TypeScript, GraphQL (Apollo), Playwright, Go, Postgres, and Temporal is advantageous.
• A product-focused mindset for gathering insights, observing customers, and forming product perspectives.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to communication in a distributed team environment.
