Software Engineer, Full-Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable web applications, 2D/3D experiences, and backend services that facilitate interaction with high-precision geospatial data.

• Develop APIs and services utilized across web, mobile, edge, and third-party applications, functioning in cloud, on-premise, and intermittently connected settings.

• Design and enhance components of high-volume data processing pipelines that manage point clouds, meshes, imagery, and various spatial data.

• Partner with Computer Vision, machine learning, mobile, and geospatial teams.

• Collaborate with product managers and UX to transform customer challenges into technical solutions.

• Contribute to architectural design, development standards, testing, and observability.

• Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools and AI agents for implementation, debugging, code reviews, security assessments, testing, and technical documentation.

• Assume responsibility for features and systems from design through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js.

• Proven experience with large datasets or computationally intensive data processing pipelines.

• Expertise in designing scalable APIs, backend services, and production application architectures.

• Familiarity with geospatial software, GIS, and 2D/3D data types, including point clouds, meshes, orthophotos, terrain, models, and LiDAR.

• Strong knowledge of software architecture, data structures, algorithms, performance optimization, and automated testing.

• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Proficient in debugging, profiling, and managing production applications, including logging, metrics, and error monitoring.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, technical judgment, and a sense of ownership, with the capacity to work effectively on complex or ambiguous challenges.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

• Legally authorized to work in Mexico.

• Highly valued: Experience with WebGL, CesiumJS, or Three.js, encompassing spatial data formats, projections, and coordinate systems.

• Highly valued: Experience incorporating Computer Vision, machine learning, or AI functionalities into production products.

• Highly valued: Background in mining, construction, autonomous systems, robotics, or other industrial sectors.
