Software Engineer, Entry-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Develop and deliver comprehensive software solutions that expand Cherry's presence in various practices.

• Assist in the introduction of new products beyond patient financing.

• Engage with the frontend, backend, integrations, and infrastructure components.

• Participate in technical and architectural decision-making processes.

• Enhance observability, monitoring, and metrics systems.

• Ensure products are safer, faster, and more dependable for both practices and patients.

• Collaborate effectively with product, design, data, and operations teams.

• Swiftly implement high-impact features and conduct experiments aimed at measurable results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently obtained a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with graduation anticipated before your start date.

• Strong programming fundamentals and hands-on software development experience through internships, coursework, research, personal projects, or similar activities.

• A keen curiosity about various technologies and a desire to learn modern frameworks, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and production systems.

• A generalist approach with the capability to tackle unfamiliar challenges, adapt quickly, and contribute in impactful ways.

• Flourishes in dynamic and fast-paced settings, with a readiness to push boundaries and develop personally.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Availability to maintain regular morning collaboration hours with colleagues in Europe.

• Familiarity with one or more technologies such as React, TypeScript, Node.js, Kotlin, Postgres, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, or Temporal.

• Experience building or integrating APIs, internal tools, dashboards, workflow automations, or other software utilized by real users is preferred.

• Previous internship experience at an early-stage startup is a plus.

• Engagement in side projects, open-source contributions, hackathons, research, or other software initiatives outside of formal education is considered advantageous.
