Software Engineer, Email & Communications Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop, test, and sustain comprehensive full-stack features for the email and communications platform.

• Engage with large-scale email delivery systems, focusing on sending infrastructure, queue management, throttling, bounce handling, and enhancing deliverability.

• Create and enhance APIs, background services, and data pipelines using .NET.

• Design and maintain cloud-native services in Azure, including Azure Functions, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, SQL, and Blob Storage.

• Refactor outdated code, transition to modern patterns, and enhance observability and testability.

• Collaborate with product teams, senior engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective solutions.

• Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions, and incident management.

• Balance the development of new features with enhancements to reliability, maintainability, and developer experience.

• Spot opportunities to eliminate technical debt and update the platform.

• Collaborate with deliverability specialists and other engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Experience in full-stack development encompassing both backend and frontend code.

• Proficient in C# / .NET for APIs, services, or backend systems.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure or relevant cloud platforms.

• Exposure to or a keen interest in high-volume email systems.

• Familiarity with SPF/DKIM/DMARC, bounce management, or deliverability monitoring is advantageous.

• Strong SQL Server experience, including writing queries and interacting with relational databases.

• Ability to read, comprehend, and enhance mature codebases.

• Understanding of API design, testing methodologies, CI/CD processes, and a growing interest in distributed systems.

• Experience in building modern frontend applications using React / Next.js.

• Proficient in both English and Spanish.

• Capability to work efficiently in onsite, remote, or hybrid setups utilizing video conferencing and collaboration tools.

• Knowledge of the digital marketing domain is a plus.

• Familiarity with message queues and event-driven systems is an advantage.

• Experience with email service providers like SendGrid, Mailgun, or SparkPost is beneficial.

• Prior experience in a multi-tenant SaaS environment is a plus.

• Exposure to PostgreSQL is an advantage.
