This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and enhance the testing infrastructure that supports the Netflix TVUI CI platform.
• Take ownership of orchestration services, command-line interface tools, device fleets, and observability for extensive test execution.
• Provide support for screenshot, end-to-end, performance, and on-device testing suites.
• Ensure the operational health and reliability of the systems you manage.
• Deeply instrument systems and utilize data to inform test infrastructure investments.
• Reduce risk across a varied device ecosystem.
• Empower TV UI engineers to rapidly build, test, and launch features with quality and confidence.
• Define project scope and engage in architectural discussions.
• Identify trade-offs and establish implementation specifics.
• Work collaboratively with engineers to understand their use cases.
• Proven experience managing distributed test infrastructure at scale.
• Familiarity with test orchestration and execution pipelines, including parallelization, sharding, and predictive test selection.
• Background in developing test frameworks.
• Experience in addressing test stability and mitigating flakiness.
• Acquainted with UI Test Frameworks and Automation tools such as Puppeteer, Playwright, Jest, and Vitest.
• Expertise in scaling and optimizing test performance across device pools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD systems, including Jenkins, BuildKite, and GitHub Actions.
• Strong sense of ownership regarding reliability and incident response for systems under your purview.
• Experience in optimizing the runtime performance of test pipelines.
• Familiarity with agentic PR/CI workflows.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Ability to write well-designed, maintainable, and high-performance software.
• Strong collaborative skills and the capacity to build solid relationships.
