Software Engineer – Customer Facing Applied AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop end-to-end AI-driven agents and tools, starting from identifying client challenges and rapid prototyping to thorough evaluation and deployment in production.

• Design and implement integrations with large language models (LLMs), incorporating prompt engineering, function calling, structured outputs, and retrieval-augmented workflows.

• Establish evaluation standards and create test harnesses for AI systems that require specific domain correctness and clarity.

• Collaborate directly with clients to comprehend their workflows, assess AI performance, and refine solutions toward production-level quality.

• Collaborate with core engineering teams to convert client-specific projects into product features.

• Contribute to the development of shared AI infrastructure, including frameworks for agents, tool integrations, and deployment pipelines.

• Oversee and maintain production AI systems to ensure reliability, cost-effectiveness, and performance efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Proven experience with Python programming.

• Familiarity with LLM APIs (such as Claude, GPT, or comparable), including function calling and structured outputs.

• Proficient in SQL for data exploration and data-driven AI workflows.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (like Claude Code, Codex, or similar).

• Demonstrated experience in building projects from the ground up.

• Ability to deliver quickly, learn from feedback, and iterate on solutions.

• Capable of transitioning projects from prototype to production while ensuring a positive client experience.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.

• Candidates must be legally permitted to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

• Must be eligible to start work in the U.S. on the first day of employment.

• May require occasional work outside regular business hours to accommodate various client time zones.

• Preferred: experience in developing agentic systems.

• Preferred: knowledge of additional backend languages, particularly Java.

• Preferred: familiarity with financial data.

• Preferred: experience with AWS and container-based deployment strategies.

• Preferred: background in evaluation frameworks or methodologies for assessing AI system quality.
