Senior Software Engineer – Customer Facing Applied AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify challenges and opportunities in collaboration with clients and domain experts.

• Develop AI-driven agents and tools from inception to deployment, encompassing prototyping and evaluation.

• Design and implement integrations with large language models (LLMs), including prompt engineering, function calling, structured outputs, and retrieval-augmented workflows.

• Establish evaluation benchmarks and create testing frameworks for AI systems.

• Collaborate closely with clients to comprehend workflows, validate AI functionality, and refine toward production-quality solutions.

• Work alongside core engineering teams to transform client-specific projects into product features.

• Contribute to the shared AI infrastructure, which includes agent frameworks, tool integrations, and deployment pipelines.

• Oversee and maintain the reliability, cost, and performance of production AI systems.

• Occasionally work outside standard business hours to accommodate client time zones.

• Travel up to 15% to client locations, which may involve occasional overnight and multi-day assignments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Professional proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with LLM APIs (such as Claude, GPT, or comparable), including function calling and structured outputs.

• Proficiency in SQL for data exploration and constructing data-informed AI workflows.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar).

• Proven track record of building projects from ground up.

• Ability to deliver quickly, learn from feedback, and iterate effectively.

• Commitment to seeing projects from prototype to production while prioritizing client experience.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Preferred: experience in developing agentic systems.

• Preferred: familiarity with additional backend programming languages, particularly Java.

• Preferred: knowledge of financial data.

• Preferred: exposure to AWS and containerized deployments.

• Preferred: experience with AI evaluation frameworks or methodologies.
